FOR WORKING MOMS

Down-to-Earth Online Therapy

IN MICHIGAN AND INDIANA

Do you ever feel like being a mom is a second full-time job?

Maybe you feel yourself mentally going through the checklist of what needs to happen as soon as you get home.

Maybe you find yourself lingering in the car or your at home office before becoming "mom/mommy" again.

You may be struggling with finding time to even catch a break between your work self and your mom self, wishing there was time for you to just breathe between the two roles.

And maybe, you're beginning to notice the impact of this in other parts of your life.

You don't want to spend time with people.

You feel guilty about not wanting to spend time with your kids.

You're constantly overstimulated by even the smallest sound or touch.

You're giving up sleep in order to have a few hours of peace and quiet where no one needs you.

You even lost it when someone dropped their cereal on the floor, and you thought, "What the heck is wrong with me?"

Dear momma, you are not alone and counseling can help you!

It may feel impossible now, but you can find time for yourself to transition each day. You can have time for yourself. You can savor the moments you have with your family. And I can help you get there.

Counseling can help you:

Figure out your needs & find ways to prioritize them.

Create stress management skills to reduce the overwhelm and overstimulation.

Build the support you need to connect with other moms or adults in your life.

Rediscover the mom you always wanted to be without sacrificing the incredible woman you are!

I'll help you through this process tailoring each step to

your unique needs and circumstances.

My approach to helping working moms comes from a place of authenticity and experience: knowing that you already have what it takes to succeed, and just need someone to help you find the right ways to take care of yourself too.

It’s time to find joy again.

Frequently asked questions about counseling

How often will we meet?

In the beginning, we will meet every 1-2 weeks. This will depend on your needs and preferences.

How do I know if online counselling will work for me?

Counseling is for everyone, but there may be times when online counseling is not the right fit. If you are struggling with thoughts of suicide, feel you need to be in the same room, or have limited access to good wifi or technology, online therapy may not be right for you. If you are unsure, you can always reach out to me for a free consultation and we can decide together if it’s the right fit.

Where are you located?

All of my services are provided virtually. Currently, I am licensed to help clients in Michigan and Indiana.

How does online therapy work?

Online therapy is just like in-person therapy, except you can wear your pjs! I will help you get set up with an online account using a secure, HIPAA compliant client portal. When we meet, we will connect through this portal for video sessions.

What are your fees?

What can I expect during our first appointment?

In our first appointment, I gather a lot of information such as reason for counseling, goals, and background information. This is to get a clearer picture of your needs for counseling. While I do gather a lot of information in this first session, I try to make this more of a conversation rather than an interview. My number 1 goal is to help you feel comfortable as we begin to explore your story.

Do you accept insurance?

No. Unfortunately, I do not accept insurance at this time.

No Surprises Act

Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your mental healthcare will cost. Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescriptions drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical services or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or a picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
