Magic Hour Counseling is the new name for The Lookout Point! Still the same quality of care, just under a new name.
IN MICHIGAN AND INDIANA
Maybe you’re in a constant state of overwhelm where even the smallest tasks feel impossible, or perhaps you’ve noticed you simply can’t focus any more.
You may be struggling with finding time to take care of yourself, and promising yourself that it'll be better tomorrow. But when you wake up you have no motivation or energy to do anything different.
Perhaps your mind just never turns off and you feel like even when you try to sit down for a moment, you feel guilty for not getting more done.
You can't sit down without feeling like you should be doing something.
Your mind races each night with the list of things to do tomorrow.
You're staying up way too late doom-scrolling only to feel exhausted the next day.
You constantly snap at your kids and wonder if that's all they'll remember about you.
You feel like your life is run by the constant hum of energy created by your stress and anxiety.
Pinpoint the reasons for your anxiety & stress
Build coping skills to help you reduce the feeling of overwhelm
Create routines that help you feel more balanced & calm
Shift your focus from the things you dread to the things and people you love.
Give you room to be you again!
My approach to counseling for anxiety & stress comes from a place of authenticity and hope: believing that you already have what it takes to succeed, and just need someone to come alongside you to point out what you might be missing.
In the beginning, we will meet every 1-2 weeks. This will depend on your needs and preferences.
Counseling is for everyone, but there may be times when online counseling is not the right fit. If you are struggling with thoughts of suicide, feel you need to be in the same room, or have limited access to good wifi or technology, online therapy may not be right for you. If you are unsure, you can always reach out to me for a free consultation and we can decide together if it’s the right fit.
All of my services are provided virtually. Currently, I am licensed to help clients in Michigan and Indiana.
Online therapy is just like in-person therapy, except you can wear your pjs! I will help you get set up with an online account using a secure, HIPAA compliant client portal. When we meet, we will connect through this portal for video sessions.
I currently only offer online sessions, but stay tuned for local opportunities such as nature-based therapy, retreats, and workshops!

In our first appointment, I gather a lot of information such as reason for counseling, goals, and background information. This is to get a clearer picture of your needs for counseling. While I do gather a lot of information in this first session, I try to make this more of a conversation rather than an interview. My number 1 goal is to help you feel comfortable as we begin to explore your story.
This depends on your needs. Many of my career clients see me for 4-6 sessions. Those tackling mental health needs like ADHD and Anxiety may see me longer, but we are always focusing on your needs. When we talk through your free consultation, I may be able to give you a better picture of how many sessions you may need to meet your goals.
No. Unfortunately, I do not accept insurance at this time.

Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your mental healthcare will cost. Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescriptions drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical services or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or a picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
